Ladybug Takes a Private Tour of Nassau with Baggy Rocks Transportation
When most travelers visit Nassau, Bahamas, they often explore the same popular highlights such as the Queen’s Staircase, Fort Charlotte, or maybe a few downtown shops before heading back to the ship. But during one of my cruise stops in Nassau, I decided to experience something different, something more authentic, more local, and more relaxed.
That’s how I discovered Baggy Rocks Transportation, a locally owned company in Nassau that offers personalized tours around the island.
I booked my tour online before the ship even arrived, and everything was smooth and simple. When I stepped off the cruise ship, my driver was already waiting at the port, professional, friendly, and ready to show me the side of the Bahamas that most tourists never get to see.
We set out on what I can only describe as a countryside tour of the western part of the island. We drove through Gambier Village, one of the island’s historic settlements, and continued on to Lyford Cay, passing lush scenery and colorful local communities along the way.
One of the highlights was visiting the Baha Mar Hotel, an incredible resort on the western side of Nassau. From there, we went to the Conch Sand, a hidden local gem by the sea where I got to enjoy authentic Bahamian flavors and the laid back island vibe that makes the Bahamas so special.
Unlike the typical tours that stick to downtown stops, Baggy Rocks gave me the chance to see the island’s quieter, more genuine side, far beyond the crowds. It felt personal, curated, and designed just for me.
If you’ve been to Nassau several times and want to explore beyond the usual attractions, I highly recommend Baggy Rocks Transportation. They offer private, customizable tours that let you go where you want to go, whether that’s local villages, scenic ocean roads, or hidden corners of the island that only the locals know.
Booking was easy, communication was clear, and the service was top notch from start to finish. For my next trip to Nassau, I’ll definitely be calling Baggy Rocks again.
Because sometimes the best way to experience a place isn’t by following the crowd, it’s by letting locals lead the way. 🌴
